"He said also to the man who had invited him, 'When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, in case they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just." – Luke 14:12-14

At LifeSong Church we truly believe that every life matters. The purpose of Joy Prom is to demonstrate God’s love to those who are frequently marginalized by modern society. Our goal is to honor our guests with a first class event that gives them an evening to remember. We want each guest to feel special and let them know that they are loved and valued by God and this community.

Joy Prom is a full-scale prom for people with special needs. Guests arrive and are immediately paired with a host or hostess who will accompany them throughout the night. Guest then go through registration where they receive a custom nametag and are then swept off to prepare for their red carpet entrance. The ladies will be looking fabulous after going through hair and make up and receive a corsage, while the gentlemen will be looking their best after having their shoes shined and boutonnières pinned on their jackets. Then guests will have their prom portrait taken which they will receive at the end of the night. Then guests will make their way to the red carpet. Upon their arrival at the red carpet, guest will be greeted by the paparazzi and receive their own individual walk of fame after being formally introduced. After their walk of fame, they will be ushered to dinner. After dinner, they will be off to dance the night away with their friends. It will truly be "A Night to Shine."

Parents are encouraged to attend. We will have a hospitality room specially designed for you. There will be food provided. There will also be other parents and organizations there for you to connect with.
