Get involved!
There are several ways in which you can get involved with the Joy Prom. If you would like to volunteer please fill out and submit the volunteer registration form. All volunteers must be 18 or older.

Hosts and Hostesses – A host or hostess is paired with a guest at the beginning of the night and is responsible for accompanying the guest through each area of the Joy Prom and staying with them throughout the night. We typically like to have one guest to one host/hostess ratio. This is the largest area of need for volunteers. A host or hostess needs to be at least 18 years of age or older.

Greeters – Greeters are responsible for greeting and helping each guest out of their car and escorting them to their host.

Shoe Shiners – Shoe shiners will be responsible for shinning the guys shoes as they come through the station. We will have a simple shoe shine area where gentlemen can sit and have their shoe shined and buffed.

Flowers – We need volunteers to pin on boutonniËres and hand out corsages to our guests. We will have a simple station set up for our guests to come through and get their corsage or boutonnières.

Hair and Make Up – This team is responsible for putting an extra special touch for our female guests. Guests will come through the hair and make up station and will sit and have baby’s breath, sparkles, and tiara’s placed in their hair and lip gloss, blush, and eye shadow applied.

Paparazzi – Photographers will line the red carpet and be the "joy prom paparazzi." Photographers will be responsible for capturing the night at their assigned stations.

Gift Table Attendants – Gift table attendants will be responsible for making sure each guests receives his or her Joy Prom gift bag at the end of the night. We will have tables set up in alphabetical order, so that when each guests leaves, their host or hostess is responsible for bringing them by the gift tables to receive their gift for the evening.

Red Carpet Cheering Section – Cheer the guests on as the walk up the Red Carpet.

Registration – Registration attendants will assist guests with checking in to the event.

Security – Security is responsible for making sure all our guests and volunteers are safe and in the right place. Security will be placed strategically throughout the facility to help guide and direct guests and volunteers.
